Avian & Exotic Animal Veterinary Service

Avian Medicine

90% of the medical problems treated in pet birds are either directly or indirectly related to improper husbandry or diet. This means that making sure your bird stays healthy means first making sure that it is cared for properly.

What are exotic pets?

An exotic pet is defined as any pet that is not a dog, cat, horse or livestock. In our practice, the term exotic pet is used to describe non-traditional pets such as reptiles, fish, amphibians and small mammals.

After regular business hours, our facility is home to PetMed, a veterinary emergency clinic. There is a veterinarian in the building 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing around-the-clock care for hospitalized pets.
